Caring For Your TopCell™ Batteries
Do:
- Recharge batteries as soon as your power tool begins to slow down.
Never drain a battery completely. This can result in permanent damage
by reversing the polarity of the cell.
- Charge batteries completely. There are a limited number of charges
that a battery will accept, so removing them before they are charged
may not cause damage, but it will waste battery life.
- Allow your battery to cool down when it feels warm to the touch. Heat
damages the battery's cells, so never let it overheat.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
- Charge batteries at room temperature, avoiding temperature extremes.
Don't:
- Discharge batteries completely.
- Recharge a battery that has overheated. Allow it to cool down first.
- Allow battery to sit in a charger for more than a week.
- Allow battery to remain in the tool for more than a week between uses.
- Charge batteries in a single-rate charger if it has a higher voltage
than the battery.
